You are part of the Reception 2020 cohort if:

  1. You are a teacher/headteacher at a school with a Unique Study ID assigned to you between May - September 2021.

  2. You are a parent of a child who started Reception in 2020, and you have a Unique Study ID, and you completed a Zoom session with a researcher between May - September 2021.

[PARENTS]

I have registered my interest between May - September 2021 but have not been contacted by the study team. What should I do?
Thank you for your interest! If you have filled in an online form while your child was in Reception, they remain eligible to join our study as Year 1 participants. Please click here to provide us with your child’s latest details and we will be in touch by email.

I have completed the Zoom session between May - September 2021. When will I receive my voucher for participation?
A voucher and newsletter containing study updates will be sent out to all parents who have filled in the Consent Form here and Parent Questionnaire here, as well as returned their child’s Draw A Man and Numeracy Screener tasks.

My friends and colleagues would like to participate in this study as well. Where can they register their interest?
Interested parents can register their interest here.

[TEACHERS]

I received a Teacher Pack from a participating parent. What should I do with it?
Thank you for your willingness to participate in our study. Your contribution is valuable to us! The Teacher Pack contains a set of instructions and questionnaires to be filled out. Once that is completed, please post the questionnaires back using the free-post envelope included in the Teacher Pack.

I have completed the questionnaires between May - September 2021 for the Reception 2020 cohort. When will I receive my voucher for participation?
A voucher will be sent out to all teachers who have filled in the Consent Form here and Teacher Personal Questionnaire here, as well as the Teacher-Child Questionnaire here. Don’t forget to sign up for our FREE CPD events for all participating teachers here.

I would like to involve my school in the study. How can I do this?
We would love to have your school onboard! Interested teachers can register their school’s interest here.
